Akshay Kumar’s Hera Pheri 4 got off to a good start recently, but now the film seems to have even more trouble, and Feroz Nadiadwala’s film doesn’t do well. Recently, T-Series slapped a notice stating that they solely own the rights to the film’s music.

A public notice has been issued clearly stating that Eros has signed a $130 million deal with Ferros Nadiadwala for the rights to his films ‘Hera Feri 3’, ‘Welcome Back’ and ‘Awala Pagar Diwana 2’. The intellectual property rights to these three films belong to Eros.

This means that Eros holds sole and exclusive internet rights to the film worldwide, including India. This could be an even more troubling issue for the Hera Pheri 4. Scroll down to read more about notifications.

Etimes reports Eros bought the rights to ‘Welcome Back’ and ‘Hera Pheri 3’ for a whopping price 130 millionThe deal was made in 2015. The notice further stated that “Hera Pheri 3” could not be released in any part of the world without their consent. This also applies to “Awara Pagar Dewana 2”.

Hera Pheri 3 was announced in 2015 with Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. The film was directed by the late Neeraj Vora at the time. But it never took off.

Hera Pheri 3 was recently announced, but was later changed to Hera Pheri 4 because the clapboard for the film loaded viral photos from the set. Now, a public notice by Eros states: 6 billion To Eros to regain my rights.”

With Eros “exclusively” holding all intellectual property rights to the film, as well as the title, digital rights, and music rights, it seems like the franchise film has a long way to go.

The comedy franchise released the first part of the blockbuster in 2000 starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty and Taboo. This film directed by Priyadarshan has a huge following. We hope fans will be able to see Part 4 soon.
