Citadel, the first installment in the Russo Brothers-backed spy universe, starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, is making headlines. Fans are now convinced that Samantha, who stars in the Indian drama alongside Varun Dhawan, is related to Priyanka’s character.
The Indian version is set in a bygone era, with fans speculating that Samantha is playing Priyanka’s mother. And now that theory seems correct. A major news portal reports that Samantha has confirmed to play the mother of Priyanka Chopra’s Nadia Singh. However, the two versions are set at different times, so the two never met onscreen and were never filmed together in any of their scenes.
The episode includes a brief narration from Varun Dhawan, who reportedly played Nadia’s father Rahi Gambhir in The Citadel.
Filming for Citadel India is currently underway. Directed by Raj and DK, starring Samantha and Varun Dhawan, the film tells a whole new story. This franchise also has an Italian version.
