While filming PK, Anushka Sharma shared an audition tape with director Rajkumar Hirani and actor Aamir Khan. The video began with Anushka speaking into the camera and teasing that she has a big secret to reveal. She revealed that she auditioned for the lead role in Three Idiots in 2007.

In the clip, Rajkumar Hirani can be heard saying, “Did Anushka audition for 3 Idiots? No, didn’t she?” Anushka then presented audition videos to both Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan on the set of PK, surprising them both.In the video, Anushka sang Munna Her By Her from the climax of MBBS. Gracie quoted her Singh’s famous line. There, she confronts Boman her Irani character after Sanjay expels her Dutt character from medical school.
Aamir and Rajkumar were incredulous when watching the audition video, but Anushka was embarrassed and hid her face. Aamir praised her for delivering emotional scenes without her glycerin and jokingly criticized her director for not letting her appear in her film. They found the coincidence amusing and asked the team to film their reactions.
Meanwhile, on the professional side, Anushka Sharma is preparing to return to the screen with Chakda Express, a biopic about Indian cricketer Juran Goswami.
