Actress Varsha Usgaonkar recalled filming in Ooty with acclaimed actor Naseruddin Shah for the 1993 film Hasti.
“Hasti” is directed by Ashok Gekwad. Also starring Jackie Shroff and Nagma. It revolves around Jaggu being despised by Narang due to poverty when he proposes marriage to her daughter Neena. Jaggu promises to return with a legacy of his own.
Sunday’s episode of The Kapil Sharma Show brings back glorious memories as the 80’s divas featuring Sangeetha Vijirani, Varsha Usgaonkar and Mandakini.
During the conversation, Kapil asked Varsha about his experience working with Naseruddin Shah in the movie Hasti.
Reminiscing about the past, she said: “Looking at him, all the art films came back to my memory. I’ll give it to you.” I made two films with him, Shikari and Hasti. ”
“During the filming of Hastie in Ooty, everyone was looking at us while we were filming the dance scene. No, but I taught him a little dance then.”
She added: “Working with him was an amazing experience and I was in awe when I realized I was working with the legendary Naseruddin Shah. I feel very lucky to have been able to work with him and it has been a wonderful experience.”
Furthermore, Varsha said: I myself have a theater background, so I know what a magical theater looks like. I continue to be involved in theater to this day. ”
“But what I really admire about Naseruddin Ji is that despite his great success, he is never satisfied. It is truly commendable that they have maintained such a deep connection with theater.”
