Several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he inaugurated Delhi’s new parliament building on Sunday. Among them was actor-turned-politician Hema Marini, who entered the building after its dedication and shared a few candid photos of himself to give fans a glimpse inside. Dressed in a floral pink saree for the special occasion, Hema Malini posed outside a gate inscribed with ‘Satyameva Jayate’ in Hindi. She excitedly raised her hands to take a picture of her. She also sat on new furniture and posed with Lok Sabha’s pals. The photo also shows her posing in front of a gold pattern on one of the walls that appears to depict Samudra Mantan.
Sharing the photos, Hema said, “Day 1 – Inauguration of the magnificent new parliament building, showcasing India’s journey into the brave New World and giving us pride among all developed nations. Ranveer Singh also shared his joy on Twitter at the inauguration of the new building, calling it an “architectural marvel.” He tweeted, “The new parliament building is an architectural marvel and a symbol of progress #MyParliamentMyPride @narendramodi #NewParliamentBuilding #India.”
Shah Rukh Khan narrated a video that gives a glimpse inside the new parliament building. The actor shared the video on Twitter on Friday, writing, “What a wonderful new home for those who stand up for the constitution, represent all the people of this great country, and defend the diversity of the one and only nation @narendramodi ji. A new parliament for a new India, but with a long-held dream to bring glory to India. Jay Hind! #MyParliamentMyPride.”
Akshay Kumar also shared a video on Friday, saying, “Proud to see this amazing parliament building. May it forever remain an iconic symbol of India’s coming-of-age story. #MyParliamentMyPride.”

According to PTI, the triangular four-story building has a site area of 64,500 square meters. There are three main gates, Gyandwar, Shakti Dwar and Karma Dwar, with separate entrances for VIPs, parliamentarians and visitors. The materials used for the new building were sourced from all over the country.
