Talented Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, who recently hit the silver screen in Adiprush, will play the legendary Meena Kumari in this upcoming biopic.
The film is reportedly backed by T-Series, a prominent film production company headed by Bhushan Kumar. The project is currently being scripted.
The film aims to celebrate the fascinating life of Meena Kumari, the tragic queen of Indian cinema. A major news portal reports that Manish Malhotra has frequently stated that it was his “long-time dream” to recreate Meena Kumari’s mesmerizing aura.
Meanwhile, on the job front, Criti has an exciting line-up. She appears with Tiger Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan in Vikas Baal’s Gampas – Part 1. She will also star in Lea Kapoor’s ‘The Crew’ alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanj and Taboo. Additionally, she is preparing an untitled film starring Shahid Kapoor, due for release in October 2023. In addition, Criti will share screen space with Kajol in its debut production business.
