Satish Kaushik’s birthday was celebrated by his family and friends in Mumbai on Thursday. The event was hosted by his best friends, his Anupam Kher and his Kaushik wife Shashi, and was a moving one. Another of Satish’s best friends, Anil Kapoor, was also present along with Satish’s 10-year-old daughter, Vansika.
During the event, they recalled their pleasant memories with Satish, and Vanshika read aloud a letter she had written to her father during his cremation.
Vanshika said, “Hello Papa, I know you are no more, but I want you to know that I will always be there for you. If I knew this would happen, I would stay with you.” I would miss school just for the sake of you.I wanted to hold you once.You are still in my heart.As you see in the movies, a miracle, you are alive.”
“I don’t know who will save me from my mom when I don’t do my homework. I don’t feel like going to school anymore. I don’t know what my friends will say. Satish Kaushik was a seasoned actor, filmmaker, producer and screenwriter. He is known for his role as Chanda Mama in Mr. India’s Calendar, Mr. and Mrs. Kiladi. He died this past March of cardiac arrest in Delhi.
