Some social stigmas are perplexing because they are so deeply rooted in the environment. Women are always expected to conform to the role society perceives them to play.If you’ve ever seen a Bollywood movie Cocktail Then surely you remember the role of Deepika Padukone.
In the movie, the character of Deepika Padukone Veronica Portrayed as very bold and straightforward, exactly what people call “too much”. She drank like a fish and had clothes all over the floor. She lived a decent life, but she wasn’t a stereotype garel au ratBecome more likeable and desirable Gautam and his mother veronica Her actual “too much” self had to be toned down a bit. poojadabble in laundry and win by making biryani of Gautam heart.
Recently, Twitter has been garnering attention for a tweet that casts a shadow over modern drinking women.
This idea of women being submissive is given to the audience, making it more desirable and loved across ages. A woman has to fit the stereotype of “Sanskari”. She cooks, cleans, wears traditional clothes, doesn’t speak loudly, doesn’t drink, speaks softly, the list goes on. This idea is so ingrained in our minds that ignorant jokes about loud and dogmatic women are normalized.
A man on Twitter wrote that women these days can drink like their fathers, but they can’t cook like their mothers.
Girls these days can drink
like their father, but can’t
