Chaan Vikram clarified the misunderstanding on Twitter. He tweeted, “Dear @anuragkashyap72, For our friends and social media likes, revisiting our conversation from over a year ago. When I heard from another actor that you had tried to contact me for a movie, and you felt you hadn’t heard back, I immediately called myself and sent you the email you sent me. I explained that my ID was no longer in use and my number had changed for nearly two years, so I hadn’t received any emails or messages from you. I’m so excited about the movie Kennedy and even more excited that it has my name on it.I wish you a wonderful life ahead. Many love to Chaan Vikram aka Kennedy.”
Netizens were quick to voice their opinion on this, but unfortunately Anurag Kashyap ended up getting a backlash. Shortly after, the filmmaker took to social media to provide further clarification. He tweeted, “Exactly right Boss. For your information, when he found out from another actor that I was trying to contact him, he called me directly. “And we realized he had a different WhatsApp number. He gave me the correct information.” But we were all locked up at the time, and we were only a month away from shooting. He also graciously congratulated me on using the name ‘Kennedy’ for the movie. . What I said in an interview was the story “I’ll explain how this movie came to be called Kennedy. No need to overreact. And make no mistake, neither Lord Charn nor I will retire without cooperating.” I don’t think so. For reference, we’re going back to the days before Setu.”
In other news, Kennedy and the cast are busy with interviews at Cannes in 2023.
