Diyatom Deb is a musician whose latest single “Girl Who Loved The Night” is unforgettable. This blues/rock/acoustic singer-songwriter from Shillong, Meghalaya has been in the music industry since 2013, but his latest single is proof that he’s getting better with time.
Deb’s band includes Naman Datta on drums, Archit Agrawal on bass, Yashi Vikram on keyboards, Nishant Parashar on guitar and Risshi Sachdeva who mixed and mastered “Girl Who Loved The Night”. Each member plays an important role in the song, creating an unforgettable sound.
The single was finally released after being delayed two years in production due to various factors including Covid-19. The track was recorded at Blacksheep Records for drums and bass, while guitars and keyboards were recorded at home. The recording process took about a month, but it was worth it. Deb’s personal story and background can be found on his profile and inspired the song’s lyrics and composition.
Deb’s musical influences range from Eagles to The Beatles, Audioslave to Rage Against the Machine, and Indian bands such as Skrat, Zero and Them Clones. His favorite quote from the movie “Rocky Balboa” is, “It’s not how much you get hit, it’s how you keep going. It’s how much you take and keep going.” , his patience.
Deb’s love of music began at an early age and his passion has led him to a successful career as a musician. His career highlights include recording his EP for his band SkyEyes, which was mixed and mastered by UK-based producer Dan Swift, and being a top nine contestant on the television reality show The Stage.
