Sonam Kapoor wasn’t the only Indian actor to attend British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s reception to mark British India Week. Actor Vivek Oberoi attended the reception at the prime minister’s residence and office at 10 Downing Street. On Friday, the actor posted a photo with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and shared his own experience. Vivek also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for honoring Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the event. Vivek Oberoi showed up to the event in a dark blue kurta layered with a colorful embroidered jacket. The photo showed him smiling next to Prime Minister Rishi Sukkur. “Thank you Prime Minister @RishiSunak for the warm welcome at @10DowningStreet,” Vivek wrote.
He added, “Your family and the entire team at 10 Downing have been such gracious hosts. I was deeply inspired when you said it was a “living bridge” between two great nations.
“I noticed that every time you mentioned @narendramodi you said ‘Prime Minister Modi ji’ but seeing that little gesture of respect that resonates so deeply with our Indian culture and Sanskar is very I was impressed. I think all Indians and people of Indian descent are deeply proud of what you have achieved. We encourage you to work with us to achieve great things. Special thanks to Akshata Marty and Sudha Marty Ji, she really is a #superstar,” summed up the actor.

UK India Week 2023
The reception will be part of the India Global Forum’s flagship event ‘UK-India Week’ in London from 26th to 30th June. This is the fifth IGF flagship event, a week-long program aimed at honoring and strengthening the longstanding partnership between India and the UK.
