Veteran actor Kamal Haasan has joined the cast of Nag Ashwin’s multilingual sci-fi flick ‘Project K’, the producers announced Sunday. The film stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone and also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Pattani. Directed by Nag Ashwin. This huge budget film was produced by C. Aswani Dutt, founder of Vijayanti Movies. Production company Vijayanti Movies shared the casting announcement for Kamal Haasan on its official Twitter page. The tweet read, “Welcome to the great actor Ulaganayagan @ikamalhaasan. Our journey is now universal. #ProjectK.” Several clips were shown, introducing him as Ulaga Nayagan (Universal Hero), the antagonist of the film.
Amitabh Bachchan welcomed Kamal. He tweeted on Sunday, “Welcome Kamal… Nice to work with you again… Long time no see!”
Kamal Haasan actually ₹15 billion offers?
A few weeks ago, it was reported that producer Ashwini Dutt had approached Kamal Haasan with a surprising offer. ₹150 million yen for the villain role of Project K. A trusted source in the film industry told the Hindustan Times that Kamal Haasan had been approached for a role in the film, but he denied the reports. ₹15 billion offers.

C. Aswani Dutt is supporting the project on the occasion of the production company’s 50th anniversary. The film will be released in cinemas on 12th January 2024 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
Project K is a big-budget sci-fi thriller and the first collaboration between Prabhas and Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame. A few posters featuring silhouettes of Deepika and Prabhas were enough to spice up the film.

Prabhas’ Baahubali co-star Rana Dhagvati said the Telugu industry had high hopes for the film. Speaking at the 2023 India Today Conclave South, he said: Like there is another movie called Project K directed by Nag Ashwin with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. It is a movie that we are really looking forward to in Telugu. I think this film will push boundaries that both Baahubali and RRR failed to achieve. He added, “It pushes the boundaries to the next edge. I’m really looking forward to the film and it could be a global film out of Telugu (film).”
