Amitabh Bachchan and Kimi Katkar worked together 30 years ago on the popular song “Jumma Chumma” from the 1991 film Ham. The song’s choreographer, Chinny Prakash, revealed that Amitabh felt one of the steps was “vulgar” and wanted it removed from the song, but Jaya Bachchan fully believed it. Amitabh and Kimi starred in the film directed by Mukul Anand alongside Rajinikanth, Govinda, Shilpa Sirodkar, Annu Kapoor, Danny Denzongpa, Anupam Kher and Kader Khan. For Jumma Chumma, Chinni won the Filmfare Best Choreographer of the Year Award. Singer Sudhesh Bhosule also won a Filmfare Award for Best Singer for the song.
Chinni said it was Govinda who let her participate in the song. When he went to Amitabh Bachchan’s dressing table and showed him the steps of the song “Jumma Chumma”, the Bollywood star thought the hook steps were “vulgar” but still decided to try. The choreographer said on the show Weekend with Ramesh, “He (Amitabh) saw the hookstep I did for Jumma Chumma and said, ‘That’s vulgar.'” what are you doing It looks bad. ’ I said I could try something else, but he suggested I try that step and skip it later if it didn’t look good. ”
“When I saw the song after the edit, Jaya Bachchan was there, and she was happy to see that step.
