Film director Aditya Chopra’s mother Pamela Chopra died Thursday morning at Lilavati Hospital. She was the wife of the late film director Yash Chopra. Shortly after her funeral, several Bollywood celebrities headed to Aditya Chopra’s home to offer their condolences, among them Shah Rukh Khan and her son Aaryan Khan, Karan There was Johar, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal. Pamela Chopra is a singer, producer, author and credited as co-writer of Dil To Pagal Hai. I have worked on several Yash Chopra directors. He has also appeared extensively in several Aditya Chopra films such as Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Mohabbatein and Chake De! India and latest production, Pathaan. Katrina Kaif worked in Yash Chopra’s last film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
Choreographer Vaibavi Merchant, who had choreographed Besharam Ran in Pattern, also arrived at Aditya Chopra’s residence. Hrithik Roshan, Neil Nitin Mukesh and his wife Rukmini were also seen at his home.
Shah Rukh was very close not only with Yash Chopra, but also with Pamela.In a 2015 interview with Reddif, she once said: When I’m with you, it’s completely yours, and when I leave the room, I don’t know (laughs). In fact he is very sweet. Whenever I ask him to come, he is there. ”

She married Yash Chopra in 1970 and continued to have a significant impact on his career. Aside from singing and writing lyrics, Pamela has worked with Yash Raj Films as a dress designer, producer and associate. She sang many songs for his films such as Surkh Jode Ki Jagmagahat in Kabhie Kabhie, Khude Se Jo Vada Kiya Tha in Silsila and Ghar Aaja Pardesi in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge. She wrote the story for her 1976 film Kabhie Kabhie.
