This is from Draft 6 of the script when I was still trying to fix the tone of the film. That scene doesn’t exist anymore, so here it is… This is the story of a womanizer and married father named VIJI and his young children, her RATHINA (boy) and her DHANA (girl).
It’s raining heavily. We are in a long hut-like building. It’s like converting a boarding house into a living quarter.
Teenage RATHINA and slightly younger DHANA are about to peek at something. A woman is screaming. She is pregnant and is about to give birth. She is surrounded by three other (older) women.
Older Woman 1: இதெல்லாம் நீங்க பாக்க கூடாது. side – side.
RATHINA and DHANA go to the other side of the house where VIJI lives. A “house” is just a large hall with a partition.
As the children cross the partition and enter VIJI’s side, we see him with a young girl unbuttoning her blouse. Lashina quickly turns Dana around and she turns to the other side, unable to see anything.
Viji (pants off, angry look): என்ன டா?
Lashina (in a low voice, looking at the floor): இங்க இருக்க சொன்னாங்க…
Viji (loud in underwear): என்னது?
RATHINA (again loudly): உங்க நாலாவது சம்சாரதுக்கு கொழந்தை பொறக் க போகுது. அதெல்லாம் She’s நாங்கபாக்க ொன்னாங்க.
Young lady (laughs): ு.
She winks at Lashina and blows him a kiss. he is fed up he spit on the ground.
VIJI: சரி, ரெண்டு பேரும் அந்த பக்கம் பாத்து உக்கார ுங்க. (He laughs) டேய் Lashina, இந்த பக்கம் பாத்தா கூட தப்பில்ல டா. English school – English school.
Young women also laugh. A scream of labor pains is heard from the other side. Lashina tightly closes Dana’s ears. He turned around and saw a young woman. Viji is riding her, but her young lady is staring at Lashina. She opens her mouth and makes lewd gestures with her tongue. He creates a large ball of spit and drops it. Young woman smiles.
He turns his head and keeps his eyes closed, but continues to gaze into the young woman’s face, imagining himself riding her. Lashina trembled and crossed her legs tightly. A mix of sexual sounds and labor pains seems to surround him.
Viji finished with a loud moan and fell on top of a young woman with sweat on her back. The sound of labor pains stopped. He turned to Lashina.
Viji: டேய் Lashina, ஆம்பள புள்ளயா பொம்பளையா-னு கேளுடா?
Lashina let go of Dana’s ear and stood up to ask the woman across the partition. The young woman looks at his crotch and laughs. When Lashina looked down at her, she could see wet stains. He quickly covers it with his hand. VIJI also starts laughing. He rolls off the young woman and lies on her back.
Visi: அப்பனுக்கு தப்பாம பொறந்திருக்கே டா!
