The Trial trailer showcases Kajol returning as a lawyer after getting betrayed by her husband

The trailer for Kajol’s new web series ‘The Trial – Pyaar Kanon Dhokha’ was released on Monday. This series is Kajol’s OTT debut.

This series is Kajol’s OTT debut. In the series, Kajol plays Noyonica Sengupta, a housewife who resumes her legal career after being imprisoned after her husband’s public scandal.

The two-minute trailer shows the husband of Noyonika, played by actor Jish Sengupta, an additional judge, being arrested for accepting sexual favors as a bribe to change the verdict. Noyonika is seen slapping her cheating husband. The video shows Kajol to be a good and obedient wife and mother of two children.

In an astonishing turn of events, Noyónica re-entered the courtroom, following a path she had abandoned for so long. After her extended absence, she braves the scrutiny of her colleagues and the public, striving to achieve her justice not only for herself but for the well-being of her family.

Directed by Spahn Verma, The Trial is the Indian version of the acclaimed American series The Good Wife, starring Julianna Margulies. The show debuted in his 2009, ran for seven seasons and ended in 2016.

In The Trial, Kajol plays a housewife who resolves to return to a career as a lawyer after her husband is imprisoned for a scandal. The series also features a talented ensemble cast including notable actors such as Zish Sengupta, Sheeva Chadda and Kubbra Sait.

This trial will be available on the OTT platform on July 14th.
