Actors Ayushman Khurana and Aparshakti Khurana performed the final rites of their father, astrologer P. Khurana. P Khurana died Friday morning in Mohali, Punjab. Photos of the funeral have leaked online. It depicts Ayushman and Aparshakti leaning over their father’s beer. They looked emotional and were seen wearing black sunglasses.
P Khurana was widely known in North India for his knowledge in the field of astrology. A native of Chandigarh, Punjab, he has also written a book on the subject. Confirming the news of his death, actor Aparshakti’s publicist released a statement from his family earlier in the day.
It reads, “It is with great sadness that we announce that the astrologer P. Khurana, father of Ayushman and Aparshakti Khurana, passed away at Mohali this morning at 10:30 am from a lingering incurable disease. PTC reports that the actor’s father had been battling heart disease for some time. However, his cause of death is still unknown.
Meanwhile, several prominent figures in Bollywood paid tribute to the late astrologer.
