Actor Anupam Kher hosted a special musical event in Mumbai to mark the one year anniversary of his late friend Satish Kaushik. The actor and filmmaker passed away last month. Several celebrities were seen attending the event, from Rani Mukerji to Anil Kapoor to Sonali Bendre. Actor Nina Gupta attended the event wearing a white saree. She took the stage next to Anupam Kher and spoke about her late friend.

She said in Hindi “Kuch bhi keh sakta hai woh. It said. Main kehna chahungi ki bhaiya jo karna hai aaj kar lo. Abhi mereko lagta hai yaar kyu nahi dinner kar li. Jsaise’s parents ke sath jo baat krni hai kar lo and I miss you. Aaj maine tumhare birthday k liye naye earrings pehne hai. Happy Birthday (I was working with him at Kaagaz 2 and we were making dinner plans. What I mean is do whatever you want right now. No need to wait No. If you want to talk to your parents, just do it.”

Neena also shared the post on her Instagram. She wrote, “We are celebrating Kaushikan’s birthday wherever you are. Happy birthday… dressed up especially for you #satishkaushik.

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai also remembered Satish on stage as Anil Kapoor rocked the stage with his dance moves. Javed Akhtar also shared his thoughts on the deceased actor.

Satish Kaushik’s wife Shashi Kaushik and daughter Vanshika Kaushik also attended the event. They arrived at the venue and applauded.

Satish died of a heart attack last month, a day after celebrating Holi with friends. He would have turned 67 on Thursday. He is a multi-talented actor, writer, director and producer who has delivered impressive performances in films such as Mr. India, Saajan Chale Sasural and Judaai. The last time he shot was for Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency.
