Salman Khan’s Eid release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is worth $1 million (approximately ¥$8 million in the first weekend). A Hindi film directed by Farhad Samji has already earned him $300,000 (approximately ¥$24 million on opening day April 21 in theaters in the United States and Canada). This is Salman’s first Eid release in theaters, his first in four years since ‘Bharat’ premiered on June 5, 2019. Hollywood trade analyst Gitesh Pandya reported on Twitter: M Mark #KBKJ” The film is doing well, with 12 of the top 20 highest-grossing theaters in Canada. Gitesh also states that Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will make his $1 million in the first weekend.
In India, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’s opening day collection was a bit of a disappointment as the film did well at the box office. ¥1.581 billion in Japan. It became Salman’s second lowest Eid opener in almost a decade. It remains to be seen if the film will be able to benefit from the weekend’s Eid holiday and gain momentum.
Led by Salman, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Vinali Bhatnagar, Vijender Singh, Jagapathi Babu and Bhumika Chawla. The film was loosely dramatized by Ajith’s star in his Veeram (2014).
After spending Eid at home with his family, Salman stepped out of his home in Bandra, Mumbai to greet his fans and celebrate. Joined by his father and screenwriter Salim Khan, the actor had posted a photo of a large crowd waiting for him outside a house along the road. “Aap sabhi ko Eid Mubarak!” he wrote on Twitter.
Later this year, Salman will return as the lead in Tiger 3, directed by Maneesh Sharma. He previously returned as Tiger in Shah Rukh Khan’s pattern for a special cameo appearance in the blockbuster.
