Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, previously said acting was never a job for her. She Navya is an entrepreneur by profession. She is the co-founder of her Aara Health, a women-centric health tech company, and often documents her own efforts on her Instagram. On Saturday, she gave a glimpse of her recent trip to a village in Gujarat, where she met local women and even tried her hand at driving a tractor. She also showed us a glimpse of her driving a tractor near a field, sitting on a cot under a tree and having a discussion with a few women, as well as the surrounding greenery.
Many people commented on Navya’s video. Some admired her “humble” personality, while others marveled at her driving skills. One commented, “It’s so beautiful! I love your adventures and your work! Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan were married on June 3, 1973. A daughter, Shweta Bachchan, was born in March 1974, and a son, Abhishek Bachchan, was born in February 1976. Navya was born in December 1997 to Shweta and her businessman husband Nikhil Nanda, cousin of actors Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.
Navya appeared alongside her grandmother, Jaya Bachchan, and mother, Shweta Bachchan, on various episodes of the podcast What The Hell Navya, which she launched last year. The three talked about the issues women face in today’s society.
In a conversation with Brut India earlier this year, Navya explained why she didn’t choose acting as her career, unlike her uncle Abhishek Bachchan and grandmother Jaya Bachchan. She said, I don’t think you should do something in order to do something.” Her brother Agastya Nanda will soon be making his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.
