Aishwarya joined Ponniyin Selvan II’s team at a press conference in Mumbai. Among them were Chaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Kati, Trisha, Soveeta, music director AR Rahman and director Mani Ratnam.
Ponniyin Selvan II is the second part of the film adaptation of author Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 Tamil novel of the same name by filmmaker Mani Ratnam. Part 1, Pony in Servan I, published in September 2022. Actor Kamal Haasan voices the narration of the film. Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman composed the music for the film. The period drama will be released in theaters on April 28.
