Priyanka Chopra is currently busy filming his new Hollywood movie, Heads of State, starring Idris Alba and John Cena. However, the project has now been put on hold in support of the ongoing SAG AFTRA strike.
Late Thursday night, the Screen Actors Guild, which represents about 160,000 performers, announced a strike over the failure to reach a new collective bargaining agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
On Friday, Priyanka took to Instagram to express her support for the SAG-AFTRA strike. She wrote, “I support the union and my colleagues. Let’s unite and build a better tomorrow. #SagAftraStrong #SagAftraStrike,” she wrote, sharing a photo that read “SAG AFTRA STRONG.”
In the post, the actress proved her commitment to the movement, announcing that she will not be filming any future projects anywhere in the world until the strike is over.
Meanwhile, professionally, Priyanka will reprise her role as Nadia Singh in Citadel Season 2, which opens next year. Meanwhile, in Bollywood, Priyanka was supposed to join Jere Lu Zahra, but dropped out of the project, citing scheduling issues, after multiple postponements.
