Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel’s Gadal: Ek Prem Katha gets a stunning revival in theaters, with audiences clapping, jeering, and chanting lines to lead character Tara Singh . This re-release was a promotional strategy before the sequel hit screens on August 11th. However, there were strong rumors that this cast was not the original cast of the film.

According to rumored trivia, Govinda and Kajol were also reportedly part of the original cast of the film. Some reports claim the film was offered to iconic 90s pair Govinda and Neelam one day, but director Anil Sharma himself has addressed these rumors.

In an interview, the director accepted the prevailing theory that Govinda had been offered a film adaptation, and that Sunny Deol would be his replacement.
