Shehnaaz Gill is gearing up for the release of her next film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. She recently opened up about getting her big break in Bollywood with a movie starring Salman Khan, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be a smooth ride ahead. She spoke of the time she was fired from the set of her movie, which she called “a child.” (Read also: Shehnaaz Gill says she cried after not being invited to movie premiere: ‘Punjabi industry cut me off completely’)
The actor, who has been busy promoting her first Bollywood film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, previously revealed that she was not invited to the premiere of the Punjabi film, which hurt her the most. Everyone in the company remembered being invited to the screening except her, which made her cry. Then she said she’s okay because she believes in karma and God.
Now, in a new interview with The Indian Express, Shenners spoke about being rejected from a film set after appearing in the film, saying, “Looking back, I feel like fate could change at any moment. Call someone on set and say no. If you want to say no, do it before that person, not when they’re already there. When… Main haath nahi aani (You can’t catch me now), ab toh main bohot badi hogayi hu, apni nazron mein (I’ve grown big in my own eyes). I feel like I deserve it, and that’s okay.”
Shehnaaz, who made a name for himself while working for Bigg Boss, also said he was aware of the tough job ahead, stating, “My journey is in my hands. It’s up to me how much I want to work. About myself, what I really want to do in life, the character I want to play. I have a long way to go. If I work hard on myself, I can get the movie. No. , so it’s all sorted out. If people believe that Entry Milgai High Bollywood Maintoab Ye Rising Star (I’m a Rising Star just because I entered Bollywood), it’s a complete lie.
Along with Shenaz and Salman, this action movie also stars Bhumika Chawla, Pooja Hegde, Raghav Juyal and others. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is also actor Shweta Tiwari’s daughter Palak Tiwari’s Bollywood debut. The film hits theaters on April 21st.
