Actor Kangana Ranaut has taken a trip down memory lane and shared old photos with filmmaker Anurag Basu. Kangana shared a candid photo on her Instagram story on Saturday night, sitting on a couch near Anurag. Kangana Ranaut remembered how Anurag Basu trained her for Life in a Metro.

In the photo, Kangana wore a black and white dress and had her hair tied up in a ponytail. Anurag, dressed in a white shirt and blue denim, pointed at Kangana. They were both busy with conversation.

Kangana shared an old photo and wrote, “Thanks to this crazy genius @anuragbasuofficial who launched me 17 years ago on April 28, 2006 for training me….”Tu chup kar (You keep quiet)” is his favorite training phrase…hahaha, I love Anu…thank you for everything.” I was told it was ~5 years… well, I finished 17 years yesterday… (slightly smiling emoji),” she added.

Life in a Metro (2007) is a drama directed by Anurag Basu. Besides Kangana, Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shinee Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sensharma and Sherman Joshi have also played the lead roles. Kangana made his Bollywood debut in the 2006 thriller Gangstar.

Fans can see Khangana in Chandramukhi 2, conducted by P Vasu. It is the sequel to the hit Tamil horror comedy film Chandramukhi. In Chandramukhi 2, Kangana plays the role of a royal dancer. She was known for her beauty and dancing skills. She is also seen in Tejas playing the role of an Indian Air Force pilot.

Kangana is also set to appear in the upcoming period film ‘Emergency,’ which is also her first solo directorial film. Emergency revolves around the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and features Khangana in the titular role of her late politician. Apart from Kangana, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chowdhury, Vishak Nair and Shreyas Talpad in lead roles. In the coming months, viewers will also get to see Kangana in Manikarnika Her Returns: The Legend of Diddha and Incarnation: Sita.
