Actors Karan Singh Glover and Bipasha Basu gave birth to a daughter, Devi Basu Singh Glover, last November. Since then, they have been busy taking care of their 7-month-old baby. Today, on Father’s Day, in his first interview as a father, Karan reflected on the first time he held his daughter. “I am a very emotional person, so the first time I held my daughter, I imagined my eyes would burn out and I would cry. The feeling is indescribable, when we were pregnant, I spoke to Bipasha’s womb every day and said, ‘Hello Chota Babu, Daddy is here.’ . The first time I hugged Devi, I said it again and she opened her eyes. I also met her skin to skin for the first time with her. ”

Karan prides himself on being a “practicing father” but admits he falls short of his wife Bipasha in that regard. More than both hands (laughs). Their potential is immeasurable. But yes, I do everything in my power to try every day to be a better father by understanding my baby’s needs, likes and dislikes. ”

Balancing work and babies can be difficult for celebrity parents. Asked if it was a challenge for him too, Curran conceded. “Yes, time management is a challenge for us celebrities, but it’s a little different for me. Being a father takes a lot of time and I enjoy it. Sometimes I have to slow down in terms of work. I don’t care if there are things that need to be done, because I don’t want to miss Devi’s first time: first crawl, first wink, first splash in the bath. , etc. That being said, I feel blessed to belong to a profession that allows me to take things at my own pace, so I work one day and take the next day off. I have the option to take the baby and stay with Bipasha, which I am grateful for because many people do not have that luxury.”

Similarities between you and your daughter

She holds my chin and smiles like I do. Also, she and I sleep in the same position. Bipasha calls it the fallen man’s position (laughs).

How has becoming a father changed you?

I thought I knew all about love, but having a baby girl has made me understand love in a way that is unparalleled. In fact, I am now also aware of my greatest fear, most importantly the fear of losing someone I love. As soon as she came to us, there was an overwhelming sense of purpose to protect two of my daughters, Bipasha and Devi.

How has she changed me as an artist?

It changed me not only as an actor, but also as an artist. The emotions I feel are reflected in the art I create. During my pregnancy, I did a series of drawings. It’s called the Devi series and is one of my most special creations.

What is Devi to you?

I understand why fathers are said to be closer to their daughters. Devi is the physical manifestation of my love for Bipasha. she means everything to us. she is our heart
